ORDI2 has a wide range of databases that support the research enterprise. From tabulating the annual awards and expenditure data, to externally funded grants and contracts, to the database for effort reporting. We also have data infrastructure to support the Research Resource Center from storage to partnership with Technology Solutions.

Researchers can use FHIR access real time Epic Data.  The process is available on the FHIR website.

The Clinical Data Interoperability Services (CDIS) via EPIC module is a feature that allows REDCap projects to connect directly to an electronic health record (EHR) system, such as EPIC, and pull selected clinical information from the EHR into the REDCap project.

Cosmos brings together data from hundreds of organizations across the Epic community to form the universe’s largest database of EHR patient information.     • High Performance ComputingThis service combines all the computational power of a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster with the convenience and flexibility of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. It is a full-featured, on-demand computational cluster consisting of 750 traditional CPU machines, 187 Nvidia GPUs, and six special-purpose high-memory nodes.

The Chicago Research Data Center (RDC) provides an opportunity for researchers to perform statistical analyses on non-public microdata from the U.S. Census Bureau and other government agencies.  For more information, please visit RDC website.

The MOU Allows for permitted use of a limited data set between a UI HIPAA covered entity and an individual or group of individuals from a UI unit that is not within the covered HIPAA entity.
