UIC’s IRB membership includes members whose primary concerns are scientific, members whose primary concerns are non-scientific, and members who are not affiliated with UIC. IRB members do not participate in the discussion or vote on research protocols in which they may have conflicting interests.
The UIC IRBs are composed of individuals, both female and male, reflecting the community’s racial and ethnic diversity, with the following expertise and perspectives:
