  • InfoReady is the proposal processing system hosted by the Office of Research Development  to manage limited submission opportunities and internal funding opportunities and to publicize a select number of external funding opportunities. Questions about accessing and using InfoReady should be directed to the Office of Research Development at rds@uic.edu.
    • Limited submissions (limited competitions) are funding opportunities for which the sponsor restricts the number of applications that an institution may submit. UIC personnel interested in applying for such opportunities must first submit an internal application through InfoReady
    • Internal funding opportunities include seed funding competitions and similar programs.
    • The Office of Research Development periodically highlights certain external funding opportunities in the “Other Opportunities” section of the InfoReady engagement hub.

myProposals  – Prepare and submit proposals  (new and supplemental funds) for central office review and approval. Clarification between myProposals submissions and OSPWeb submissions can be found here.

  • myResearch integrates and displays information from a number of different university systems, giving faculty access to the information they need to prepare, submit, route, and manage their grants.
  • myResearch Portal can be used by PI’s and Business Managers
  • MyResearch Portal Updates
  • OSPWeb is the web-based system used to deliver documents to OSP.
  • OSPWeb eliminates the need to submit hard copies of all documents to our front office.
  • OSPWeb sends emails confirming receipt of delivery and assignment to OSP personnel for review.

UIC Research – COI is the online application to perform the following processes for compliance with the University Policy on Conflict of Commitment and Interest

  • Academic Staff update disclosures annually, at minimum
  • Unit Executive Officers review and manage disclosures
  • Academic Staff submit pre-approval requests, prior to engaging in activities
  • Unit Executive Officers review pre-approval requests
  • Unit Executive Officers review management plans
  • Investigators or business managers can view reports for human subject and sponsored program compliance
  • UIC Research – IRB is a web-based, IRB submission system that allows PI’s and their staff to create and submit online IRB applications including electronic routing for signatures.
