HRSA Overview

The Health Research Services Administration’s (HRSA) is the primary Federal agency aimed at improving access to health care services for the nation’s highest-need communities.  Its programs are targeted to vulnerable populations including but not limited to the uninsured, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, pregnant women, mothers and children, and people living in rural communities.  HRSA’s mission is to improve health outcomes and achieve health equity through access to quality services, a skilled health workforce, and innovative, high-valued programs.
