The Offices of the Vice Chancellor for Advancement & Research are excited to welcome Dr. James Wilson, Program Director at the Russell Sage Foundation (RSF) to UIC. Dr. Wilson will present on RSF’s funding priorities, followed by one-on-one and small group meetings where faculty can pitch proposal ideas and receive feedback. Note that Dr. Wilson will not review concept papers, and AV will not be available for slide presentations. Meetings are by appointment only, available at Student Center East (morning) and the Institute for the Humanities (afternoon). Below are the event details:
- Presentation by Dr. James Wilson
- Time: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- Location: UIC Student Center East - Room 301
- Description: Dr. Wilson will discuss the Foundation’s priorities in social science research and their work towards the improvement of social and living conditions in the United States. This session is open to all and will provide in-depth insights on the Foundation’s impact.

- One-on-One Consultations - All slots are fully booked as of 03/20
- Time: 10:15 AM - 11:30 PM (by appointment)
- Duration: 15 minutes per consultation
- Location: UIC Student Center East - Room 603
- Description: Dr. Wilson will be available for one-on-one consultations following the presentation. These brief consultations are a unique opportunity to engage directly on your research or related questions.
- Lunchtime Panel Discussion with UIC Awardees
- Time: Noon - 1:00 PM
- Location: UIC Institute for Humanities, 1007 W Harrison St Suite 153, Chicago, IL 60607
- Description: Join us for a moderated conversation with Dr. Wilson and UIC faculty who have previously received RSF funding. Dr. Wilson will engage in an in-depth panel discussion with UIC awardees, followed by a Q&A session with attendees. Space is limited, and registration includes a box lunch.

- Second Round of One-on-One Consultations - All slots are fully booked as of 03/20
- Time: 1:15 PM - 3:50 PM (by appointment)
- Duration: 15 minutes per consultation
- Location: UIC Institute for Humanities, 1007 W Harrison St Suite 153, Chicago, IL 60607
- Description: After the panel discussion, Dr. Wilson will be available for a second round of one-on-one consultations.
