Event Overview

Join us for the first session of this year's NSF CAREER Award webinar series, designed to help early-career faculty understand the nuances of the NSF CAREER Program and develop strong, competitive proposals.

The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide initiative that represents one of the National Science Foundation’s most prestigious awards. It supports early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education, and to lead transformative advances in their field. NSF CAREER proposals should demonstrate a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research.

This session will feature insights from Naomi Webber, Ph.D. Senior Principal Consultant, Lewis-Burke Associates LLC and Anna Brailovsky, Assistant Director of Faculty Research Activities, UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Key Topics

  • Overview of the NSF CAREER Program
  • Key Dates and Deadlines
  • Current NSF priorities and their impact on CAREER proposals
  • Proposal development strategies
  • Institutional resources available to support applicants
  • Q/A

We look forward to seeing you at the webinar!
