The Office of Research Services (ORS) is providing the following written procedure in order to streamline the process of the submission of proposals with less than full F&A.
UIC applies the full negotiated Facilities and Administrative Rate (F&A, or indirect cost) to all externally-sponsored projects. Note: The rate for industry-sponsored clinical trials is currently 25% of total direct costs.
Are there new issues in your field that you would like to explore in depth? Are there scholars whose work you would like to discuss or debate?
Are there colleagues in your field with whom you would welcome the opportunity for an in-depth conversation? Are there a number of scholars working on common or related issues whose work could be enhanced by the opportunity to talk with one other?

The Office for the Protection of Research Subjects (OPRS) is rolling out an electronic system that enable
s Investigators to submit proposals electronically. Implementation of the new system is occurring systematically across campus over the next several months.
Due to a decrease in submissions received by the OPRS East Side Satellite Office, the Office is closed starting Monday, February 1, 2016.
Submissions will be accepted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 8:30am and 4:45pm at our main office.
OPRS will not be accepting submissions on Tuesdays and Thursdays but staff will remain available on these days to address any questions you may have.
