The new NSF-wide Convergence Accelerator is an exciting pilot program for high-risk, exploratory, and use-inspired research by teams of multiple stakeholders (industry, academic, not-for-profits, and government entities). This novel two-phase program ($1M for 9 months and $5M for 2 years) includes rapid award selection by program officers.
