For new faculty embarking on their independent research journey, the wide array of federal agencies and research funding programs can be daunting. Luckily, there are some key federal funding programs created specifically for investigators in the early stages of their career. During this presentation, representatives from federal relations firm Lewis-Burke Associates, LLC will provide an overview of the benefits of engaging with federal agencies and a landscape of agency programs at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE) that support early career faculty. The presentation is intended to provide insights into new and existing programs for early career faculty looking to learn more about how to find grants from federal agencies. There will be time for Q&A at the end of the presentation, and faculty can also engage directly with Lewis-Burke following this event.
