You already know that UIC is committed to tackling challenges that affect communities locally, nationally, and worldwide. Did you know, though, that Chicago is also home to foundations – both big and small – that are interested in supporting solutions to these same challenges? In this brown bag lunch webinar, hosted by the UIC Office of Research Development, moderators from UIC Corporate and Foundation Relations will lead a lively discussion with representatives from several Chicagoland foundations. Attendees will learn about the types of initiatives that local funders support within a higher education context, including research, community-based programming, clinical care, student support, K-12 partnerships, or other university initiatives. The foundation representatives will also share some insights on how they like to partner with universities and what they look for in university partners. The presentation is intended for faculty from across campus who are looking to learn more about the missions, goals, structures, and funding approaches of local foundations.

Unmi Song – President of the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation
