Presenter: Shweta Yadav
Dr. Shweta Yadav is currently a Bridge to the Faculty (B2F) fellow in the computer science department at the University of Illinois Chicago. Previously, she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications (LHNCBC) in the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health. She received her Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India, in 2019.
Her research interest lies at the intersection of natural language processing, healthcare informatics, biomedical text mining, and computational social science. Her research focuses on developing interpretable and adaptable machine learning algorithms to analyze, model, and derive actionable insights from real-world health data that could lead to the integration of intelligent systems in the healthcare and biomedical fields. Her work has been featured in top Natural Language Processing conferences like ACL, NAACL, EACL, WWW/TheWeb, COLING, ICPR, and journals like PLOS ONE, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Knowledge-based System, Soft Computing.
