Sponsored Programs is a service unit under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, supporting the research enterprise throughout the entire lifecycle of an externally sponsored project, from proposal submission to award closeout. Sponsored Programs consists of both a pre-award section – assisting in proposal submission and negotiating the incoming award – and a post-award section responsible for managing awards from account set up through closeout.
The goal of Sponsored Programs at UIC is to support sponsored research by providing exceptional service, expertise, and education while maintaining a collaborative model of stewardship among all University faculty and staff.
