Award administration begins when the University receives notification of the award. The process continues through the life of the award and through financial and technical closeout of the grant or contract. To assist PIs in successfully administering their sponsored projects, the Office of Research Services  (ORS) has established the prior approval guidance governing post-award activities. Post-award administration at the central administration level however may be carried out jointly by the ORS and the Office of Grants & Contracts (GCO).
