    • If you do not have a NSF profile, please see How to request an NSF Fastlane Account.
      • When an account has been established, you will receive an automatic email notification with instructions on activating your account.
  • Must submit completed PAF, budget, scope of work to ORS five(5) business days BEFORE submission to NSF..
  • Research.gov is the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) grants management system that provides easy access to research-related information and grants management services in one location. Research.gov is the modernization of FastLane, providing the next generation of grants management capabilities for the research community.

Please be aware that the Full Proposal, PAF, abstract, budget and budget justification for all NSF applications are due in ORS five working days prior to the submission deadline. When your Fastlane application is completed and ready to be submitted, give SRO full access to view/edit/and submit.  Do not give SRO access until your application is complete.    Giving SRO full access gives ORS the authority to submit the application.  At that time, you should also send an email to awards@uic.edu and copy the assigned Sponsored Projects Specialist stating that the proposal is ready to be submitted to NSF.
