The Student Research Forum (SRF) represents one of the finest student-run activities at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). It is academic in nature and includes research presented by each segment of the entire student body:  undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The SRF provides a venue for students to present their scholarly efforts and is also a celebration of the wealth of research across all disciplines at UIC.

Nearly 300 students from the Arts, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Humanities, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical and Social Sciences present their work (accompanied by a visual display) that captures highlights and key features of their project. Faculty, alumni and friends serve as judges during a high-energy three-hour review session.  Monetary awards are given in various categories. Questions regarding the event may be directed to the Student Research Forum Coordinator, Jacqueline Berger at jacquieb@uic.edu

Support for this unique and impressive event is currently provided by the UIC Student Activity Funding Committee, and the Offices of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost, the Vice Chancellor for Research, the UIC Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and the University of Illinois Alumni Association.   Additional support is invited and welcomed to help underwrite the costs of the posters, displays and prizes.

Please consider doing what you can to ensure the UIC Student Research Forum continues.  A new gift fund has been created to make it easy for individuals and organizations to support the Student Research Forum at any level, directly from the SRF website: http://research.uic.edu/about-ovcr/srf/giving.

If your organization would like to consider major funding opportunities, please review the information below.
